Borrow $20 Million For Public School Security In Maine - Feb. 27, 2018

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP)-Maine could borrow $20 million to boost public school security. The $20 million dollar general obligation bond would fund school security enhancements such as facility upgrades and efforts between local and state law enforcement. Lawmakers in some states have started looking at new steps since a Florida high school shooting this month left 17 people dead. GOP Republican Rep. Patrick Corey said he feels a sense of immediacy, but said little can be done without funding.
