These changes will align with the hours of service at corresponding United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) locations.
The CBSA is committed to facilitating travel and trade while maintaining the security of the Canadian border, and will continue to work closely with the USCBP and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to ensure that land borders remain secure.
For wait times on the go, travellers can download CanBorder, the CBSA’s free border wait time mobile app. Travellers also can visit the CBSA website for border wait times and travel tips, or call the Border Information Service line at 1-800-461-9999.

“At the time that many of our ports of entry were established, the areas they served looked quite different than they do today. Populations, industries and traffic patterns have changed. It’s necessary now to make changes that reflect this reality, so we have the services we need, when and where we need them.”
- Calvin Christiansen, Regional Director General, CBSA Atlantic Region
