Third Annual Skate 4 Life Skate Event at the Calais Skatepark Back ON !

“Third Annual Skate 4 Life Skate Event at the Calais Skatepark brought to you by the nonprofit, Brendan Leddy Memorial Fund, starting at 3:30p and ending at 6p on August 26th. This is a free event for all ages, experience levels, and action sports. There will be a big raffle basket with over $500 worth of gift cards to your favorite local restaurants and businesses. Countless giveaways and prizes for riders and spectators amounting well over $300. We will have free youth skate lessons again, slush puppies, and concessions by donation. There will be skateboards, a scooter, a BMX bike as well as helmets and pads to use for free. Local skate shop Undertow, from Machias, will set up products to sell at the park. As always our nonprofit gives 10% of all funds raised back into the community to support mental health, suicide awareness, substance use and recovery, and mental health for our Veterans. There will be many local organizations present at the park to hand out informational material, swag, and to answer questions about how they support the skatepark’s mission on mental health awareness.”
