Coffee and Conversation is a community connection, have a conversation, make connections, and hear from this month’s sponsor, The Connection Initiative, County-wide resource connectivity system coordinated by Community Caring Collaborative connecting community members to needed resources.

Baileyville/Ellsworth, Maine:

Coffee and conversation is a community connection, having a conversation, making connections with old friends, make new friends, and gathering where community can come together for you guessed it….. a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of conversation! If you need a little time away from your responsibilities to press the reset button; If you just need some time with a tribe or if you’re just here for the coffee, then come on and join us.

Let’s meet for coffee, friendship, fellowship, and fun. Having coffee at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center and Baileyville Community Connections Center and connecting with one another over a fresh cup of coffee.

Coffee and conversation is a group for the community who loves to talk and get together. You don’t have to like coffee to come. We plan to meet once a month. Come join us on the second Friday of each month from 9am -11am at 163 Main Street, Baileyville, ME. Any questions or suggestions please reach out to us, we’re open to suggestions and conversation topics. Please note** July’s meeting will be held on the third Friday, due to scheduling conflicts. Otherwise, it will be held monthly on the second Friday of each month.

This month’s TOPIC is:

The Connection Initiative (TIC) News! This month we’re talking with Dante Zanoni, Program Manager TIC about The Connection Initiative (TCI) and how it can help people in Washington County connect to needed
resources, and beyond. Their mission is “to make lives better through connecting our neighbors
in Washington County to community resources with a personal touch.” The social value behind
TCI is a commitment to respond to Washington County neighbors’ needs with care, connections
and options. TCI is a county-wide program hosted and coordinated by the CCC that connects community members to needed resources. It uses an online platform that allows the program manager to connect community members to needed resources or organizations.

TCI uses a technology platform – Zendesk – for confidential communication with community members seeking connections to resources. Zendesk is the backbone that will be working behind the scenes. The platform allows a person to call, text, email, FB message, Twitter message, or live chat to reach out to the Connection Initiative for resources, needs, and wants. All these communication channels can seamlessly integrate into Zendesk and result in an electronic record of the request called a “ticket.” Program manager, who is the main point of contact, will see this ticket, and depending on the nature of the request, may reach out to resource partners from other agencies through Zendesk for help. If needed and with permissions, multiple resource partners can share information and ideas together on a single ticket, meaning more complicated requests could have a team working to identify supports and options.

Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, Baileyville Conventions Center in collaboration with Community Caring Collaborative (CCC) will be here to help community members get connected to much needed resources though The Connection Initiative. Come join us for Coffee and Conversation at 163 Main Street, Baileyville ME. on Friday, July 19th from 9am-11am.
