Crews have been able to complete the repairs to the water main on Main Street and have moved to the leak on North Street (between Poorhouse Lane and Walnut Street) and traffic delays should be expected. We ask that unless you are visiting a business in this area, please seek an alternate route.

The Calais Water Department is asking all users to continue to limit their water usage until further notice. The Department is now working to resolve three water main leaks in the areas of Washington Street (near the Bureau of Motor Vehicles), Main Street (near the movie theater) and Knight’s Corner (between Poorhouse Lane and Walnut Street). The businesses in these areas are open, but we ask that you please seek an alternate route if not going into one of these businesses. Updates will be posted as they become available.
