It’s been a while since we have talked but that doesn’t mean we have been sleeping. 😴
Regina Grabrovac, our newest organizer Lucy Zwigard, and so many more of our good friends and partners at Healthy Acadia have been busy getting things organized.
Our locations are ready and our volunteers are gearing up for a fantastic 20th year!!
But we cannot rest on our laurels. Our hard working people at the Washington County Food pantries are counting on us to help our friends and neighbors right here in Washington County.
Our longtime sponsors, Dunkin in Calais and Machias, and VL Tammaro in Woodland and Calais are so excited to help us once again. Thanks to these generous businesses, every dollar donated goes directly to our local food pantries.
This 20th year proves a few things.
#1. The people in our community are the best in the world when it comes to donating to their neighbors.
#2. This event is needed as much now as it was when we first started.
#3. Our volunteer base continues to grow because people love to give their time to a great cause.
#4. EVERYONE LOVES TURKEY!!!!! 🍗
A lot of people ask us how much has been donated over the past 19 years. Hmmmm. That’s a great question and a good teaser for my next email.
I will have that answer and more information next week and we continue our countdown to October 11th and the 20th annual Turkey A Thon.
Now is the time to start organizing your club, civic organization, school, classroom, business, family, friends and more to help your neighbors.
We want this to be the BIGGEST TURKEY A THON EVER!!!!!!
