It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Town Manager, Bill Kitchen, who served Machias with dedication and pride for many years.
He passed away on September 9th, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and worked with him.
As a mark of respect, the Town Office will be closed. During this time, we encourage the community to reflect on Bills significant contributions to our town and to keep his family in your thoughts.
