Downeast Community Partners Hires New Executive Director

Downeast Community Partners announces the hiring of Rota Knott as the agency’s new Executive Director.

DCP is fortunate to have found just the right person to assume the position of Executive Director. Rota brings both deep expertise and experience in not-for-profit leadership and human services administration. We know that Rota’s extraordinary proficiencies, coupled with her passion to improve the quality of life and reduce the impact of poverty in Down East communities, will lead our agency to the next level,” retiring Executive Director Rebecca Palmer commented.

Ms. Knott’s 15-year experience in nonprofit leadership includes executive director positions in both Maryland and Maine – most recently as the Executive Director of the Acadia Family Center in Southwest Harbor. Knott holds B.A. in Communication Arts from Salisbury State University, and an M.S. in Administration of Human Services from Wilmington University.
