…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY
MORNING…
* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 3 and
8 inches with isolated higher amounts possible. Winds could gust
as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE…Portions of Central Highlands, Coastal DownEast, Far
Eastern, Interior DownEast, and Penobscot Valley Maine
* WHEN…From this evening through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very
difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Heaviest snow will be along and east of the
Longfellow Mountains into Interior Downeast. Isolated higher
amounts are possible.
