HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Do you remember what TV show used this for their opening line?
If you guessed The Electric Company, you get to move to the front of the TV!
Holy crap on a cracker!
Do you know the 19th annual Turkey A Thon is now less than one month away!
That’s right, October the 6th is the date for the most exciting day of the year!
Our goal this year is $40,000!
In my last email I said we were a little short last year. What I didn’t know was, Machias Savings Bank was so excited about our day end total of just over $39,000, that they paid the difference to increase our total to $40,000!!!!
This was after they had already made a very generous donation!!!
BTW, have you noticed the number of !!!!! I am using? 😀
Hey, if you don’t get excited about the Turkey A Thon, then you must not get excited about Christmas, my Birthday, Pumpkin season, Football season, or a colonoscopy.
Our partners at Healthy Acadia are getting everything organized to make this year’s Turkey A Thon the best darn Turkey A Thon ever!!!
Our volunteers in Eastport and Machias, Baileyville and Columbia, Lubec, Milbridge and Calais are getting in shape, practicing saying thank you, trying on their turkey clothes and some are even having their tutus professionally cleaned for the occasion!
Our sponsors, Dunkin in Calais and Machias and VL Tammaro Oil Company in Woodland and Calais are ready to have a record breaking year!
Tune in to Classic Hits 92.7 and 95.3 or The Border, Country 102.9Â starting next week for announcements about all the details, and visit www.wqdy.fm for updates and so much more.
NOW IS THE TIME to organize your classroom, your business, your coffee klatch, your cribbage partners, your friends, your pickleball league, or your family, to raise money to help your neighbors this holiday season!
Don’t forget, the school raising the most money for the Turkey A Thon. will win the coveted Taters and Gravy trophy! Last year’s winner was Calais High School, thanks to the leadership of Lori Ellis and the Calais Middle-High School student council! Maybe your school will challenge them this year!
Thank you all in advance for your donations, help, and enthusiasm and we look forward to hearing and seeing each and every one of you on October 6th!
Remember what “The Boss” said, “Nobody Wins, Unless Everybody Wins!”
Peace Out!
